Lincoln Mountain Open Space

Lincoln Mountain Open Space is located in the Douglas County, north of Colorado Springs off highway 83. It is open for hiking, biking and horseback riding.

There are two major loops. The Lincoln Mountain Trail climbs up the side of the mountain via few switchbacks. After you finish the ascent a flat 1.2 mile long loop will take you around the top of the mountain with some nice views of Pikes Peak and Front range.

The Palmer Divide Ranch Loop takes you through open meadows and then up through a rocky area with tree cover.

Distance: 0.2 miles to the intersection. From the intersection the Lincoln Mountain Trail Loop is 3.5 miles round trip and Palmer Divide Ranch Trail is 3.9 miles round trip.

Difficulty: Palmer Divide Ranch Loop is mostly easy rolling terrain. Lincoln mountain Trail is a moderately difficult climb up the mountain with an easy flat loop on top.

Hours: Open from 1 hour before sunrise to 1 hour after sunset.

Directions: Drive north on Colorado 83. Turn left on Jones Rd, about 6 miles north of Highway 105. The trail head will be on your right after 0.5 miles.
